Brand story

Born from building

RC Display Works is a division of RC Patina Guy LLC, based in San Jose, California. Founder Erick Padilla started in radio control in 1978, returned to painting radio control bodies after a tech career and raising a family, and turned a personal outlet into a design and display business.

In 2024, RC Patina Guy was one of five featured artists in Meta Lab, the Ray-Ban Meta experiential retail pop-up in Los Angeles, with a lowrider game installation. Custom radio control lowriders were also shown at Meta Connect, in retail locations, and at the OTTO Car Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.
